A Note from the Leadership Board

Dear ECCC family:

It is my pleasure, on behalf of your Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada (ECCC) - Leadership Board, to join with the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) in praising God for the call to ministry of Jeff and Darlene Anderson as regional co-directors for Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Jeff has served in the Office of ECCC Superintendent for nearly 20 years and though we are reluctant to see his earlier than planned departure, we are exceptionally excited for him and Darlene as they journey into this new ministry together. The ECC release on this news can be viewed at;

In moving forward, there are two main aspects to this development. Firstly, in relation to the Andersons’ new ministry, all details and information will be released through either Jeff and Darlene or the ECC. We encourage you to stay connected in order that you can pray for them as the Lord reveals each step of their forthcoming call to ministry.

Secondly, in relation to the ECCC Superintendent position, it is important for you to know that your Leadership Board will ensure, by God’s grace, to effect an orderly and efficient transition in leadership. We have been in discussion with ECC Executive in developing a transition plan that will live within our Constitutional requirements, while also providing operational efficiency as the Superintendent selection process ensues.

The Leadership Board will continue to work on the details over the next several weeks in order to present the transition plan at the 2017 AGM in Chestermere, Alberta. We are also working toward making arrangements to celebrate Jeff’s service as ECCC Superintendent at some point on the AGM weekend of May 5 - 7, 2017.

Any additional announcements will be posted as required.

Until then, we invite you into this moment of celebrating God’s call and laying a foundation of prayer for Jeff and Darlene as they move forward into this new ministry adventure.

Peace and grace,
Rich Drinovz
ECCC Chairperson
