An Unprecedented Need. An Unprecedented Partnership.

The situation in Congo is both dire and hopeful. As the Covenant church we sense this inescapable call: to stand with our Congolese friends to turn around the most over-looked province in the neediest country of the world. Joining together with World Vision in Equateur, this unprecedented partnership will provide a “journey to transformation,” in addition to the spiritual work carried out through the congregations of the Covenant Church of Congo (CEUM). This proven community development model for sustainable long-term solutions is built on World Vision’s 60 years of experience building a better world for children. The ECC across North America has committed to sponsor 10,000 children - 8,900 have been sponsored to date.

Sponsor a child today. We have a few children available for sponsorship.

As a sponsor, keep in touch with your sponsored child:

Pray for your sponsored child, their family, and their community. Read your CKC emails for community updates.

Write a letter and mail it to your sponsored child, or send an email that will be printed off in Congo using your My World Vision online account ( If you haven't heard from your sponsored child in a while, write to them. They might be waiting for a letter from you.

Wish them a Happy Birthday. Write your sponsored child's birthday down on your calendar. Send them a letter or email to wish them a happy birthday. You can send a gift too--more on that next!

Consider giving a monetary gift. Make a special monetary gift ($100 minimum) to your sponsor child. Local staff will talk to your sponsored child and their family, and then your gift will go toward what they need most. Special gifts can provide valuable resources like livestock for a family. Make a special gift at

Mail small gifts. Did you know you can mail small gifts to your sponsored child in a 6x9 envelope? Send your sponsored child a couple of fun items, like stickers, hair ribbons, a small notebook, or coloured pencils.
