Stronger together: Alberta

Commons Church, Calgary AB

Schedule

  • Worship session with ministry moments to open Stronger Together.

  • Item description
  • The business meeting will take place simultaneously across all locations via Zoom.

  • Shared time of fellowship over a meal together.

  • Every city, town and county is concerned with health, children, seniors, safety, care of land, the local economy and those on the margins. Government policies and social services are at their limits. The next wave of impact will come from citizens connected to their neighbours and engaged in bringing their gifts and humanity to each other. Learn about a growing movement that is neighborhood focused, citizen centered and gift based. It advances household connection and belonging with nearby neighbours and within the community as a whole. This movement helps to shape local life according to residents’ vision for their place, and facilitates neighbourliness by linking residents to groups, existing and newly formed, within the neighbourhood.

Howard Lawrence has a passion for grassroots neighbourhood engagement and continues to work collaboratively with his neighbours, community development thought leaders, The City of Edmonton and others, to find ways to enable people to build neighbourly relationships and increase the collective capacity within their communities.

  • Worship session with ministry moments to close Stronger Together.
