Together, we START and STRENGTHEN churches, SERVE and SUPPORT pastors and leaders, across Canada and around the World.

Set in motion in 1904 by Swedish immigrants to Canada, today we are a growing, multiethnic, intergenerational mosaic of churches with ministry partnerships around the world. We join together in the hope of seeing even more people engage in a growing relationship with God - through Jesus.

The Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada (Canada Covenant), is a denomination in Canada, and a regional conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) based in the United States. We unapologetically confess Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and the Bible as the Word of God and the only perfect rule for faith, doctrine and conduct. As a family of churches, we enjoy diversity in all other matters of faith and practice, refusing to let them divide us or detract from our shared mission.

The Evangelical Covenant Church is:

+ Evangelical, but not exclusive
+ Biblical, but not doctrinaire
+ Traditional, but not rigid
+ Congregational, but not independent

At our best, these streams find generous expression in our six affirmations:

+ We affirm the centrality of the word of God.
+ We affirm the necessity of the new birth.
+ We affirm a commitment to the whole mission of the church.
+ We affirm the church as a fellowship of believers.
+ We affirm a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.
+ We affirm the reality of freedom in Christ.
