The Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada has a long history of supporting discipleship of young adults. After the closure of Covenant Bible College (CBC) in 2007, endowment funds were passed on to the ECCC via Trellis Foundation to continue granting scholarships for students pursuing discipleship education.

The CBC Legacy Scholarship program has assisted over 90 students with scholarships to participate in discipleship education programs around the world, with a total of $45,500 distributed.
