Wanda Burchert has been a Chaplain Coordinator with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team since 2014, and involved with disaster relief through Samaritan’s Purse since 2006. Together with her husband Claus, has had a rich retirement, responding to over 50 events worldwide. Almost 2 years ago, Claus and Wanda moved to the Creston Valley from Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. They have grandchildren in Alberta, B.C., P.E.I. Ontario, Kentucky and Czech Republic. -

Learning Session: God’s Hope in Crisis with Bryana Russell
WHEN THEIR LIVES FALL APART, HOW DO YOU RESPOND?
God’s Hope In Crisis is a short seminar that helps us to better understand:
- trauma and grief
- how to recognize it in ourselves and others, and
- how to comfortably step into a conversation with someone who is hurting - a conversation where we are not worried about what to say or what not to say. A conversation where we are helping that friend, family member or neighbor to process their feelings and experience God’s comforting Presence.
As you walk through the current crisis, you will feel equipped to be the Church to the people around you.
